Deval Patrick: 'The character of the nation is on the vote at this moment'

"When I consider the following decision, regardless of whether it's 2018 or 2020 or 2022, you know, people say that the character of the competitor is dependably on the ticket; I think the character of the nation is on the vote at the present time," Patrick, a potential Democratic contender in the 2020 presidential race, said in a broadcast release of "The Ax Files," airing Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on CNN.



Patrick depicted the 2018 midterm decisions, in which Democrats are idealistic they will take control of the House however confront unverifiable results in the Senate, as an opportunity to establish "some genuine oversight" of President Donald Trump's organization and portrayed the 2020 presidential race as an opportunity to vote Trump out of the White House.
"I'd jump at the chance to see this entire organization go. That is the thing that 2020 is about, and 2018 is tied in with putting some genuine oversight in the organization meanwhile," Patrick disclosed to CNN's David Axelrod amid a meeting.
